Founded in 1970, Camp Walden is a classic kids summer camp located on 750-acres of pristine nature and a beautiful private lake, just outside of Bancroft, ON.
For thousands of years, this land has been home to the Mississaugas, the Nipissing, the Ojibwa, and the Algonquin First Nations. Stone carvings and tools dating back 7,000 years have been found in the area. The area is known for its ancient rock formations including sodalite.
First Nations call this land:”(o)gidaaki”. “Gidaa” means upwards and “ki” means earth – upwards earth. It is known as the Highlands today.
We honour this land and its rich and sacred history and are grateful to borrow it for this Festival. It lovingly supports our deep and transformative experiences.
Check out the Camp Walden’s Transportation page for driving directions. Nearest international airports are Toronto, Montréal, and Ottawa.
A car is needed to arrive at the Festival grounds.
If you do not have a car, we will post a Ride-Share document in our Facebook Community Group closer to the Festival dates. Ride-sharing is a fantastic way to connect with fellow TTF journeyers and start your festival experience!
Camp Walden offers a range of camping experiences including rustic shared cabins, private “glamping” cabins and rooms, as well as tent camping.
You ALL-INCLUSIVE ticket includes all meals and either Shared Cabin accommodations or a camping spot.
These are large rustic cabins with bunk beds. They can sleep up to 18 but we limit capacity to 6 – 8 max. Some cabins have a 2-piece bathroom on their porch. All cabins have access to a nearby bathroom and shower house. You must bring your own bedding (sleeping bag or sheets, blankets, pillows, etc). If you’re flying in, we can get you set up for a small fee. You can request to bunk with friends and/or lovers (there’s a field for bunk requests in the registration form).
This is field camping. There are no private, individual campsites. Spots are limited. Campers have access to a nearby bathroom and shower house. There is also limited RV parking available on-site. These sites do not have power or water hook-ups, and are available on a first-come first-served basis.
Want a little more privacy?
Upgrade your accommodations with our individually priced private cabins and private rooms.
The cabins have single or double beds with full bathrooms. Some have a living room and kitchenette. Bed Linens are provided.
The private rooms have one bunk and one single bed, sleeping 2-3 people. Bed linens are provided.
Private cabins and rooms are an upgrade to the “Shared Cabin” ticket. They are IN ADDITION to your ticket purchase (Super Duper Early Bird, Early Bird, or regular-priced ticket). The rental fee is a flat fee and not per person. You are welcome to share your accommodations with the number of people that the facility sleeps.
Due to increased demand for these cabins, we are establishing a Divine selection process for renting private cabins – in other words, a lottery. We will announce (via email and on our socials) when you can enter the lottery for these.
